10:00-11:00 Shooting Raw - Lisa Cuchara
"Adobe Camera RAW: Top features everyone should know about ACR"
This program about features in ACR (Adobe Camera RAW) is for both Photoshop and Lightroom users of all levels, something for everyone. Come and expand your editing capabilities by learning how to make your images POP by processing your images in ACR (Adobe Camera Raw). ACR is an extremely useful tool for new and experienced photographers alike. There is more to ACR than just adjusting exposure, shadows and highlights, come check out HDR tone-mapping, panoramas, lens correction, noise reduction, dehaze, etc. ACR is an amazing tool for both post-processing minimalists (who can make a few quick tweaks and enhance their photographs in a powerful but non-destructive manner) and for more advanced users who can choose to double RAW process, selectively edit, tone-map, stitch, etc. Lightroom users will find that the ACR processor in Photoshop is virtually identical to the tools in Lightroom’s and that both utilize non-destructive editing, saving the editing information in a behind the scene "sidecar xmp file". The benefit of saving this editing information as instructions/parameters means that you are not actually changing the image but rather you are changing the way the software interprets the RAW data. ACR can also be used as a "filter" in later versions of Photoshop (Photoshop CC CC2014, CC2105) which means that you can use the ACR features on more than just RAW files (i.e. you can use ACR as a filter on images that are already open in Photoshop or on a layer in a Photoshop file).
